DrScore, the leading online patient satisfaction survey service, gives dermatologists and other doctors a validated, cost-effective, and easy-to-implement method to meet the patient experience of care survey requirement, to obtain actionable patient feedback, and to document commitment to the highest levels of professionalism in medical care.
DrScore was established in 2005 by Steven R. Feldman, MD, PhD, a board-certified dermatologist practicing at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, who recognized the need to better understand his patients’ perceptions of the care he provided them. Roger T. Anderson, PhD, a leading expert in patient satisfaction and professor and chief, Division of Health Services Research, Department of Public Health Sciences, at the Penn State Hershey College of Medicine, developed the interactive survey.
Based upon the strong evidence of the survey’s validity, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has included the DrScore instrument in its clearinghouse of approved measures. DrScore has published numerous studies on the effectiveness and use of the survey in peer-reviewed medical publications, identifying key factors essential to achieving high levels of patient satisfaction. Nearly 2,000 doctors across the United States use the DrScore’s services.
DrScore’s survey, which can be completed online and anonymously by patients from any computer with web access in three to five minutes, is a low-cost method to obtain patient satisfaction, without the hassle of managing paper surveys. For $149 a year, doctors receive monthly reports, delivered electronically, that provide benchmark data and actionable items that help doctors understand and respond to their patients’ perceptions of the medical visit.
