Statement of Principles
Foremost, we believe in American physicians, in the quality of care they offer and their commitment to providing the best medical care in the world. We believe that patients are to be trusted and are a good, if not the best, source of information on the quality of medical care. And we support patient advocacy groups and believe they are a valuable resource.

Our belief in American physicians

  • We believe that health care professionals come to their calling out of their desire the help others.
  • We believe that health-care providers are under-recognized for the high quality of care they offer
  • We believe that giving health-care providers feedback and accountability will best help them help themselves to improve the care they offer, a goal to which all physicians strive.
  • We will empower physicians to improve the care they offer by giving them the patient feedback they need.

Our belief in patients

  • We will empower patients to enhance care by sharing feedback with their physician.
  • By providing open information on patient satisfaction with their care, we will build patients' confidence in their physicians and improve the esteem with which the medial profession is held.
  • We will assure patients' privacy: We will not collect any information that would identify a patient.

Our belief in advocacy groups

  • We will partner with patient advocacy groups to further our mutual goals.
  • We will work with patient advocacy groups to direct to our Web site those patients who want to provide and seek physician satisfaction information.
